Welcome to gryhmz.space! My name is Aiden and this is my new website. My main goal on this website is to blog semi-regularly about my studies and add past research works that I have done in my prior years of college. Since many of my projects will be deleted upon me leaving my univeristy, I am making the effort to run my own website to keep all the works there.
I believe that having a respository website with all my past works will “motivate” me to want to do more work related to my field. As a history and legal studies major, much of my work revolves around social philosophy and commentary, so having a place to communicate my thought process without having to use a major social media page, like Twitter or Tumblr, would be preferred.
At the moment, I plan to start moving over archive works as soon as possible, but I am still figuring out how Hugo and Netlify works (and getting used to editing .MD files again). For the time being, this website might not see any current works as I am wrapping up my first year at univerity, but do come back!
Also, I am contemplating whether to add Google Ads to this website. I know that ads can be annoying for most people, but I do not make a ton of money at the moment. I should be picking up some time soon at my job, but who knows if they will give me the hours that they claimed were available. I also have to take a class over the summer and start reading some additional books for my next history class, so I will be busy over the summer. Of course, I will try my best to work on the website in my free time, but I am not sure what my free time will look like in the following couple of months. The ads and traffic would help me pay for the domain next year if I feel like renewing gryhmz.space. Personally, I am a fan of how the domain name looks, but I would not mind changing the top-level domian in the future for the convenience.
For now, there will be some major changes across the page when I have the time to work on it. I am excited to get started on building my own website again, and now that I have to worry about paying for the domain, that might motivate me to try this once.
Thanks for reading,
